Support Afghanistan By Backing its Future
The Omid Girls’ Scholarship Fund
Want to contribute
to a brighter future in Afghanistan? Then support its youth!
The Canada Afghanistan Solidarity Committee
is supporting a collaborative fundraising drive to establish a Scholarship
Fund to support a special group of Afghan girls to achieve their dreams
of getting a university education.
The young residents of the Omid-e-mirmun
Orphanage in Afghanistan each have a story of survival, resilience and
hope in how they came to be at the orphanage. And all dream to one day
be able to access higher education, and ultimately, better opportunities
for their futures.
We know that Canadians are capable
of mobilizing resources to make this dream a reality, and are appealing
to CASC friends and supporters to donate to the Omid Girls’ Scholarship
Fund, administered by Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan. We believe
in supporting the aspirations of Afghanistan’s girls and women to
the human right of access to education.
